Columbus English Language College carefully selects each host family.  Our host families are located in South Dublin.  Students receive full board when staying with a host family.  All students receive a warm Irish welcome on arrival.  Students have breakfast and dinner with the family and are provided with a packed lunch each day.  On Sundays, students have breakfast, lunch and dinner with their host families. By spending as much time as possible with their host families, students experience Irish family life and hospitality.

18Irish families tend to spend Sundays as a family day. Their children who are away at college or working during the week come home to spend Sunday with their family. Some Irish families cook Sunday dinner at lunch time and the whole family chat over lunch about their week. They may visit an Aunt & Uncle and have lunch together. They may go to see a football, rugby, hockey or hurling match together. It is usually a very sociable day for them. This provides language students with the opportunity to experience Irish family life and culture.
